Service Description
COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW TO SCHEDULE THIS CLASS. The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course teaches individuals with little or no medical training how to respond confidently during common medical emergencies. This instructor-led course combines classroom instruction, video demonstrations, hands-on practice, and skills testing. Participants learn how to provide immediate care until professional emergency responders arrive. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • How to recognize and respond to a medical emergency • First aid for common illnesses and injuries • High-quality CPR • How and when to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) • Relief of choking • Response to severe bleeding and shock • When and how to contact emergency services WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE? This course is appropriate for community members, employees, teachers, coaches, caregivers, and others who want or need First Aid, CPR, and AED training. No medical background is required. It may also be appropriate for individuals who need a course completion card for employment or other organizational requirements. Participants should confirm their specific requirements with their employer or licensing organization before registering. COURSE FORMAT This is an instructor-led, online or in-person course that includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills practice, and evaluation. COURSE COMPLETION After successfully completing all course requirements, participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion eCard valid for two years.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
