Service Description
COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW TO SCHEDULE THIS CLASS. The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to common illnesses, injuries, and environmental emergencies until professional help arrives. No previous medical training is required. WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE? This course may be appropriate for: • Teachers and coaches • Fitness trainers • Security guards • Summer camp staff • Church and community leaders • Industrial and construction workers • Electricians, plumbers, miners, welders, and marine workers • Anyone who needs basic First Aid certification or wants to be prepared for an emergency WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • Patient assessment • Asthma emergencies • Muscle and bone injuries • Seizures • Bleeding, wounds, and other traumatic injuries • Heat- and cold-related emergencies • Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis COURSE INFORMATION • Format: Instructor-led First Aid training with hands-on skills practice • Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours • Experience required: No previous medical training is necessary • Certification: Course completion eCard provided after successful completion IMPORTANT INFORMATION This course is not intended for healthcare professionals who require BLS certification. Daycare providers and preschool teachers may need a Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course instead. Participants should confirm their specific requirements with their employer, licensing agency, or organization before registering. COURSE COMPLETION Participants must attend the course and successfully complete all required skills to receive their course completion eCard.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
