Service Description

This American Red Cross online course prepares participants to recognize and respond to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving children and babies. Through interactive, simulation-based lessons, participants practice responding to realistic emergency situations in a virtual environment. The course is completed entirely online and allows students to work at their own pace. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • Pediatric first aid fundamentals • Recognition of breathing and cardiac emergencies • CPR techniques for children and babies • Basic use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) • How to respond confidently during pediatric emergencies COURSE INFORMATION • Format: 100% online • Duration: Approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes • Schedule: Self-paced • Availability: Begin the course immediately • Device requirements: Computer or tablet with high-speed internet • Not supported: Smartphones or Internet Explorer IMPORTANT CERTIFICATION NOTICE This online-only course does not include an in-person skills evaluation and does not meet OSHA requirements for workplace certification. Participants who need an OSHA-compliant course completion credential should register for the Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning or Instructor-Led Training Course.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
