Service Description
BLENDED LEARNING: ONLINE + SKILLS TESTING This American Red Cross Basic Life Support course prepares healthcare and public-safety professionals to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. The blended-learning format combines self-paced online instruction with a required instructor-led skills session. Participants must complete the online coursework before attending the hands-on session. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • Single-rescuer and multi-rescuer CPR • CPR for adults, children, and infants • Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) • Response to obstructed-airway and choking emergencies • Effective teamwork and communication • Critical thinking and clinical decision-making during an emergency COURSE FORMAT • Online coursework: Approximately 1–2 hours • Skills session: Approximately 2–3 hours • Online access: Computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access • Course materials: Digital BLS Participant’s Manual included • Material access: Unlimited access to online course materials for two years • Continuing education: CE credits may be available for eligible professions BEFORE ATTENDING Participants must successfully complete the online portion before attending the instructor-led skills session. Proof of online completion may be required. COURSE COMPLETION After successfully completing the online coursework and demonstrating the required competencies during the skills session, participants will receive an American Red Cross digital BLS certificate. The digital certificate can be viewed, printed, downloaded, or shared. It includes a unique identification number and QR code that employers can use to verify the credential.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
