Service Description
COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW TO REQUEST THIS COURSE. The ASHI Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid course prepares participants to respond to cardiac emergencies, choking, and common illnesses and injuries involving adults, children, and infants. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • Adult, child, and infant CPR • How to respond to choking in responsive and unresponsive individuals • Automated external defibrillator (AED) use and special considerations • Basic First Aid WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE? This course is appropriate for babysitters, coaches, teachers, church leaders, and other individuals who need basic CPR, AED, and First Aid training or want to be prepared for an emergency. Participants should confirm that this course meets their employer’s or organization’s requirements before registering. COURSE INFORMATION • Format: Instructor-led classroom training with hands-on practice and skills testing • Estimated duration: Approximately 5 hours • Certification validity: Two years after successful completion IMPORTANT INFORMATION Healthcare professionals who require BLS certification should register for a BLS course. Daycare providers and preschool teachers should confirm their specific pediatric training and licensing requirements before registering. A separate Pediatric First Aid and CPR course may be required. COURSE COMPLETION Participants who successfully complete all course requirements will receive a course completion credential valid for two years.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
