Service Description
BLENDED LEARNING: ONLINE + CLASSROOM This American Red Cross blended-learning course prepares participants to recognize and respond to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and babies. The course combines flexible online instruction with an instructor-led skills session. Participants must complete the online portion before attending the scheduled hands-on session. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN • First aid fundamentals • Recognition of breathing and cardiac emergencies • CPR techniques for adults, children, and babies • Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) • How to respond confidently during an emergency COURSE FORMAT • Complete the online coursework at your own pace • Access the online portion from a computer, tablet, or mobile device • Begin the online portion immediately after registration • Attend an instructor-led session for hands-on practice and skills evaluation WORKPLACE CERTIFICATION This course is designed for participants who need a certification that meets OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. Participants should confirm with their employer that this is the appropriate course for their position. COURSE COMPLETION After successfully completing both the online coursework and instructor-led skills session, participants will receive an American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED digital certificate valid for two years. The digital certificate can be viewed, printed, or shared through the participant’s Red Cross account. It includes a unique identification number and QR code that employers can use to verify its validity.
Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING We understand that plans can change. To cancel or reschedule your registration, please use the Manage Booking link included in your confirmation email or contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of your class. Cancellations and rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the class, as well as failure to attend, are not eligible for a refund. For blended-learning courses, fees associated with online course materials may be nonrefundable once the materials or access link have been issued. CANCELLATIONS OR SCHEDULE CHANGES BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER If we need to cancel a class, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and may choose to transfer their registration to another available date or receive a full refund. If we need to reschedule a class, registered students will be notified of the new date and time. If the new schedule does not work for a student, they may transfer their registration to another available class or request a full refund. We are not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a class cancellation or schedule change, including travel, lodging, childcare or lost wages. Classes are offered at scheduled training locations throughout Colorado Springs. The exact location is provided during registration.
